So, week 2 started off with a bang, I had my meals prepped and ready to go. I didn’t do as much prep this week though which I found out the hard way when I was out of food and tired, stressed, and hungry. Wednesday, I woke up exhausted regardless of the sleep I had and decided to pull back on training for the day and just did a little workout.
Thursday, I continued to be tired and started getting emotional which triggered me wanting to eat the world. I had fruit salad and yoghurt to get that sweet hit I wanted but I wasn’t really listening to my body I kept trying to push through and juggle all the ‘things’ I had to do. Friday, we hit the fast forward button and before I knew it the weekend was over, and I crashed in bed more tired than the entire week. The kids had events on I had events on and in between the events and the ‘things I didn’t eat enough to fuel my body or did I take enough time to properly rest or meal prep on Sunday ready for week 3.
Here I am now reflecting over week 2 and coming up with a plan on how I am going to win the week 3. So, I am taking more time to rest when needed because my red flags are being tired when I get tired, I can’t manage or prioritise my health because I’m just surviving.
I will do mini preps over the week and make easy meals so not stress myself too much.
I have also hurt my knee with no actual event happened to it but at times it flares up and I can barely weight bare on it then it goes away. It’s also reducing my movements such as lunges and squats, so I am going modify exercises as needed and back off on weights, so I don’t damage it further. My back is having a few niggles and I think I need to stretch more and not push it too much I’ve adjusted my goals and mindset so I can keep going towards my long-term health goals. It’s a journey so I need to make sure that I’m doing is sustainable when it injured.
This week I will be doing more meditation and breathwork using the Flourish & Fulfilled app, this really changes my mindset when I’m stressed and wanting to slow down and come back to ’me’.
Happy Week 3 everyone
